Brian Sorrells
Brian has been hunting and fishing since he was big enough to follow his dad through the woods and around the waters of southern Indiana.
Shooting a bow and arrow came naturally. His early archery exploits began like many; with a fiberglass bow and wooden, suction cup tipped arrows. That is, until he learned he could remove the suction cups and sharpen the tips on the fireplace hearthstone.
Once Brian realized his childhood dream of becoming a professional bass fisherman wasn`t likely, he joined the United States Army. He proudly became a Ranger, and questionably began jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.
Once home again, Brian began shooting a compound. After a brief stint with mechanical bows, Brian discovered his passion for the simplicity of traditional archery. He now shoots longbows exclusively.
His first article was published in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine back in 1998. Brian has since written two books; The Beginner`s Guide to Traditional Archery (now printed in 3 languages) and Traditional Bowhunting for Whitetails.
Brian`s freelance work has appeared in the following publications:
Traditional Bowhunter Magazine, Bowhunter, Peterson`s Bowhunting, Primitive Archer, Bow and Arrow Magazine, Indiana Game and Fish, and Deer & Deer Hunting.
